Jack Oortwijn is Bike Europe's editor in chief.

After his education in marketing, Jack Oortwijn began his career in the communication department of the Dutch importer of Toyota and Suzuki cars.

He was and still is an avid motorcyclist and because of his Suzuki contacts, he was asked to join the editorial office of a new motorcycle magazine. This found place in 1979 and formed the beginning of his career as a journalist.

In 1985, he made the switch to 'Tweewieler', a journal for Dutch and Belgian bicycle stores. He was editor in chief for about ten years. In 1996, Jack Oortwijn initiated the start of the international journal for the bicycle industry: Bike Europe, which is currently in its 16th year.

Since then, Bike Europe has become one of the leading journals for the bicycle industry. Starting january 1 2011, Jack Oortwijn has been reinstated as editor in chief of Tweewieler. He manages the editorial office of both Tweewieler and Bike Europe.
