DETROIT, MI/USA--US car giant Ford Motor Co. has announced that it will manufacturer a new series of electric vehicles and bikes under the brand name Th!nk. Th!nk is the name of a Norwegian electric car Ford introduced last year.
Ford plans to sell its Th!nk electric vehicles both via the internet and through its dealers. The first production includes a small, plastic car (a sort of golf cart) with a range of 88 kilometers (currently being sold in Norway).
Ford's two Th!nk e-bike models will be available this summer. They will have ranges of up to 50 kilometers and will cost between US$1,000 and US$1,200.
"Th!nk is the organization that will provide us with ingenious mobility solutions for the new millennium," said Ford president and CEO Jac Nasser. "It is further proof of the company's commitment to connecting with the customer." (JW)
