Reynolds Branches Out

MAARSSEN, Netherlands (Jan 14) - Under a new licensing agreement, California-based Reynolds Composites will now be known simply as Reynolds, according to a deal reached in December with Reynolds Cycle Technology, located in the United Kingdom. Previous to this agreement, Reynolds Composites was precluded from using materials other than composites. The door is now open to working with assorted alloys for a wide range of components and accessories, excluding only bicycle tubing. “This will allow us to develop and grow the brand to its full potential,” says Cort Larned, CEO of Reynolds, which as Reynolds Composites became known for carbon-fiber forks and wheels. “We now have the opportunity to become not just a composites manufacturer but a broad technology provider to the bicycle industry.” “We'll have a complete offering over the entire product spectrum and at all price points,” Larned says.
