HEESCH, Netherlands - Dutch bicycle manufacturer Be One Bikes is back on the U.K. bicycle market. "Things are already rolling," says Be One's marketing and sales director Dennis Weijers. "Be One is a brand that is well positioned for the UK market, this market is a perfect fit for Be One Bikes."
"DH/4X world cup winner Bas de Bever is the new UK sales manager. Bas already was involved in other Be One export projects in Canada, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Finland. Having won world cups in Downhill and 4X, Bas knows exactly what a good bike is all about. Bas always had and still has a big say in the development of the bikes," says Dennis Weijers.
Be One Bikes is going to do sales directly with the dealers in the U.K. The office and warehouse in Holland are able to sent bikes to the UK dealers at any time. Be One's policy is to have everything in stock so we can send bikes and parts to our dealers whenever they demand them."
Not only will Bas de Bever be doing the U.K. export, to promote Be One Bikes he will also be doing races on the UK national circuit. "I'm really looking forward to all this, being ¼ British, I always had a special bond with the Brits," said Bas.
The first Be One Bikes are already in the NWMB Center in Manchester. The next few months we will gradually try to get dealer shops to join the Be One family. De Bever: "We would like to offer our dealers a great deal off exclusivity, which, amongst others, means sales areas substantially larger then average." Be One Bikes will present their bikes at BIKESHOW at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, April 1-3.
