It’s the world’s first; a bike carrier that is integrated in a car. That car is the new and recently launched Opel Corsa. The bike carrier system is called Flex-Fix. Just pull on the license plate and the Flex Fix system comes out of the rear bumper; onfold it; lock into position and mount the additional rear lights. With that the bike carrier is ready for mounting one or two bicycles.
Will Opel be the trendsetter with lots of followers? That still remains the question. One thing is for sure though, this first attempt to integrate bikes into cars and with that to hook up short distance mobility with longer distance trips or commuting, deserves a compliment!
