MALAGA, Spain, Pictures show a completely redesigned X.9 groupo, technologies initially developed for SRAM‘s high-end X.0 line raise the performance level of X.9. The glossy, graphite coloured finish gives triggers and derailleur an exclusive, high-end look.
X.0 technologies used in the X.9 triggers include Zero Loss Travel, aluminium push lever, removable upper cover and adjustable clamp positions. The push lever is made of die cast alloy but will not be individually adjustable.
The new rear derailleur will be similar in look and features to X.0. Using a high-quality aluminium cage instead of carbon, the X.9 will only be slightly heavier than the X.0.
Officially, the new X.9 will first be presented to the media on April 7th at Sea Otter, USA. Everybody is welcome to join and testride the new components. Only by then, detailed technical information and high-resolution pictures will be available.
