BOCHOLT, Germany – Rose Versand, that was
hit by a huge fire last tuesday
, is again fully operational. Four employees were slightly injured but have been released from hospital the same day. The fire did not destroy Rose's main warehouse, but an external warehouse. According to Thorsten Heckrath-Rose from Rose Versand the regular delivery process and bike production were not affected.
'First of all we are very happy that nobody was seriously injured and all of our 4 people from the 300 employees have been released from hospital the same day. The main logistics warehouse we build two years ago was not affected as reported on your website. It was luckily "only" an external warehouse which was affected. In this warehouse we are storing backstock which is not immediately needed to fulfill our customers orders and in the same building our seasonal stock sale took place in
July and January,' says Heckrath-Rose.
'We could already start working on a quite normal level yesterday, the regular delivery process and bike production are not affected except a one and a half day delay caused by an interruption of our internal glass fibre network, so it seems we have been lucky despite all of the bad luck caused by the fire.'
