PARIS, France - Renowned French bike industry veteran Didier Huré opens a new chapter in his life by putting an end to his professional career. That career in the bike sector started in 1985, as sales manager for Peugeot bicycles.

Later he switched to the manufacturer of Peugeot bikes, Cycleurope where he was Deputy General Manager, taking up also the marketing aspect of the group. Here he established the retail organization ‘Velo & Oxygen.’ Didier Huré left Cycleurope in 2001 to devote himself to the development of franchise organizations before taking up leadership of the French industry association ‘Conseil National des Professions du Cycle’ (CNPC) in January 2006. His skill made him the best ‘Sales Representative’ of the French bike industry ever. Currently, CNPC has forty members; all French manufacturers and distributors.

CNPC reorganizes
With the Didier Huré’s retirement, the CNPC has opted to reorganize and move closer to FIFAS (French Federation of Industry of Sport and Recreation). Huré passes his responsibilities over to Catherine Trachtenberg, FIFAS general secretary. “I'm off to new adventures,” says Didier Huré, “I leave the handlebar to Catherine and I wish you all safe journey!” One thing is certain, Huré’s smile and good humor will be missed.
