Electra Recalls Front Tray Bikes

WASHINGTON, US – Electra Bicycle Company has announced a voluntary recall of all models with a front trays. Consumers should stop using these bikes immediately as the front tray on the bicycle can come loose and contact the front tire, posing a fall hazard to riders.

At the moment Electra Bicycle has already received four reports of the front tray coming loose, including one incident.

This recall involves the Delivery 3i, Delivery 8D, Holiday 3i and Surf 3i model year 2009. All bikes are manufactured in Taiwan. The bicycles with trays connected to the fork crown with a bolt passing fully through the tab are not included in the recall.
