Campagnolo Launches Electronic Shifting

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands – On November 7 Campagnolo is launching its electronic shifting system to the World Tour professional teams and press in Sicily. Two after weeks the launch the Italian component maker will start delivering the complete groupsets to the professional road racing teams to be used at their December trainings camps.

Electronics on a bike was one of the main product issues at this year’s Eurobike. Here Shimano presented its Ultegra Di2 e-shifting system. In Friedrichshafen Campagnolo put a poster on its booth to attract attention for their electronic shifting system.

Later in November, at the Taichung Bike Week 2011 which will take place from November 29 to December 2, the new e-shift system will undoubtedly be part of the presentation of Campagnolo. The renowned Italian parts maker is presenting its line-up for MY 2013 at the Tempus Hotel in Taichung.

    Where has the paragraph about the "road disc-brake" in preparation by Shimano gone ???

    It was officially denied by Shimano Europe that disc brakes for road bikes will reach MY 2013 bikes. That's why we dropped this paragraph. The Shimano Europe spokesman did not deny that 11 speed Dura-Ace Di2 will come next year at Eurobike.
