Pon Holdings Sets Up Bicycles Business Group

DIEREN, The Netherlands – Pon Holdings has created the Pon Bicycles Business Group. All the recently acquired bike companies – Derby Cycle, Gazelle and Cervélo - are part of the new holding which is headed by Xeno Grimmelt (photo), former interim MD at Gazelle. The holding company is based in Almere, The Netherlands.

Pon Holdings appointed a new Managing Director at Gazelle. His name is Jaap Merkus (41) (photo right) who will join the company as per May 1. He comes from Philips NV where he was Vice President and Category Leader Philips AVENT. Here he was responsible for Philips worldwide operations in the Mother & Child Care category.
