In June 1972, Henri Pescarolo and Graham Hill won the 24 Hours of Le Mans driving the Matra MS 670. In June 2012, Matra celebrates the 40th anniversary of this first victory by introducing the electric bike MS670 24 Heures du Mans, a limited series in the colours of its impressive four-wheeled elder sibling.
For this Collector's edition, Matra took inspiration from its most sporting range of electric bicycles, i-step, adopting the legendary colours of the competition brand. With power that can go up to 500 Watts, and weighing barely 20 kg, the MS670 24 Heures du Mans bicycle provides unique sensations and represents the best weight/performance ratio for vehicles going up to 45 km/h.
Signed by Henri Pescarolo, the only Matra driver having won three 24 Hours of Le Mans races in 1972, 1973 and 1974, this model is assembled in France at the brand's historic Romorantin site in Loir-et-Cher. The MS670 24 Heures du Mans bicycle is marketed by Matra in a limited edition of 140 pieces, at a retail price of €5,000 including VAT, exclusively on the online store www.matra.com/webstore. (A non-electric version is also available at € 3000 including VAT)
