TAIPEI, Taiwan – The Dahon corporate dispute that has been in process behind the scenes of the international bike industry for months is entering into a new phase. Bike Europe’s report on the 4th Annual Dahon International Distributors Conference, held in Zagreb, Croatia and organized by Dr. David Hon and Henry Hon which was published in a special eMail newsletter and at www.bike-eu.com June 10; triggered a response from Josh Hon (photo).

He says to Bike Europe: “The story recently from the Chinese factory, purporting to represent ‘Dahon’ is quite full of inaccuracies. I have not ‘left’ Dahon. I still work at Dahon & Hon Industrial Labs. where I have been working for the last twenty years. This company, commonly referred to as Dahon Global has over these last twenty years been responsible for sales, marketing, distribution and product development. Dahon & Hon Industrial Labs (Florence Hon and myself are 100% owners) will continue to exist and operate, as it always has and in fact it owns the Dahon trademark in many important markets.”

Josh Hon continues: “In addition, Dahon bicycles have for many years now been assembled in Europe - in a Czech partner factory to be exact. However, the team at Dahon Global also has some interesting plans for new directions. More on this will be released this weekend.”
