EICMA Goes to China

MILANO, Italy – At the EICMA-Bici, Costantino Ruggiero had a spectacular spectacular announcement to make: together with two Chinese partners, the EICMA will organize the coming Intermotor China Fair. The first edition will be held in the Shanghai Expo Centre, April 17 to 20, 2006. It will be combined with the 16th China Cycle Show, that actually always had the official name of “China International Bicycle & Motor Fair”. EICMA's partners are the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Shanghai) and fair organiser Shanghai Xie Sheng Exhibition Co., the representative of the China Bicycle Association in Shanghai. The EICMA organises the bicycle show Bici, and also the Milan motorcycle show in November – both of which are the oldest two wheel exhibitions in Europe – Ruggiero hopes to be able to combine these shows somewhere in the future. The new Milan fair grounds certainly have enough space to cater for that.(JB/MH)
