LAS VEGAS, USA – The Interbike organization announced that more than 250 new exhibitors will display their products or services in Las Vegas this year. This represents a 20% increase compared to 2011.
“We have clearly created a lot of buzz out in the market and when you combine that with last year’s momentum, it makes sense that these companies want access to our audience”, said Pat Hus, Managing Director for Interbike. “Where else can you go and reach this many retail buyers in such a short time?”
To provide enough space for the new exhibitors, Interbike created a new section of the show called The Lab. The interactive area features innovative products from a broad range of new and existing vendors on the street level of the show.
According to Interbike interest from overseas exhibitors has shown an increase over 2011 as well. New companies from China, Germany, Taiwan, and Italy have contributed to the over 10% increase in international exhibitors versus 2011.
Interbike states that many of the 250+ companies are currently not mainstream bicycle industry brands like Kappius Components, Rage Powersports, Chipabike, SPYru and PROBAR. On the other hand some powerhouse brand names such as Sony and Teva will be taking advantage of The Lab and exhibit at Interbike for the very first time.
