BREMEN/OLDENBURG, Germany (16 May 2000)–The newly formed Rabeneick Group (Rabeneick, Kreidler, Bulltec), cooperation partner and new owner of competitor Bremer Fahrradmanufaktur, has “suspended” the firm’s general managers, JŸrgen Schnier and Georg Haasken. Both were dismissed from their positions, effective immediately. The company did not provide more information on the reason for their dismissals. According to Heiko Mittag, general manager of Rabeneick Group’s sister company Prophete, Bremer Fahrradmanufaktur’s administration office will relocate to the Rabeneick Group’s headquarters in Oldenburg. Rabeneick Group recently shifted production to Oldenburg after signing a cooperation agreement with the Bremer Fahrradmanufaktur. In addition to overseeing the Rabeneick, Kreidler and Bulltech brands, Rabeneick Group managers Severinne Lönne and Werner Forster will now also be responsible for Bremer Fahrradmanufaktur’s administration. The owner of Rabeneick Group and Prophete, Bertold Lönne, now delivers bicycles to both specialty retail and mass merchant channels. Lönne says that Rabeneick Group is the third largest bicycle specialty retail supplier in Germany. At the same time, Prophete is one of the major players serving the German mass merchant market.
