VERNON HILLS, IL/USA (25 July 2000) — Brunswick Bicycles has named Franck Meunier to its sales team. Meunier, formerly the manager of North American operations for (now bankrupt) French component maker EGS, will be replacing Kim Hegel as international sales and marketing manager at Brunswick Bicycles Division. “I met Franck while I was developing product for Mongoose,” says Richard Wittenberg, vice president of worldwide sales, comments. “His attention to the details and approach to problem solving are second to none. Besides, if he could convince me to use EGS shifters in America, he must be a good sales guy.” Meunier will split his time between the European and American offices. “I will continue to focus on building the distribution relationships started by my predecessors. Through our partnerships we will continue to grow our market share worldwide. I look forward to developing stronger strategic relationships with both suppliers and distributors.”
