ASHFORD, Kent UK (November 22) – Selectamark Security Systems have bought Bikeregister.com. This web-based security system for bicycles (registration, security tag and missing bike register open to police authorities) was invented by Steve Bennarr and Chris Boardman, twice world hour record holder, joined the company last April as Sales and Promotion manager.
Selectamark is a company who do the same with cars, caravans, homes, vessels, household appliances, musical instruments etc. Selectamark has more than 15 million marked and/or registered objects under survey in England. It is the main provider for the British marine industries’ federation and for the police ‘Secured by Design’- programme.
Selectamark has already bought the assets of the National Cycle Register and the Bicycle Security Register, and will invest to boost the bicycle theft prevention tag and registration use. Under the company’s new scheme, a complete tag plus registration set for a bicycle costs a onetime fee of £ 10 (US$14.21; € 16.16). Bennarr and Boardman have joined Selectamark. (OB)
