TOMBOLO PADOVA, Italy (August 5) – San Giorgio (trainers and mudguards, 30 employees) sent out a curious message to their customers: it says that a number of key employees (among others: MD, treasurer, chief engineer, ed.) have resigned from the company, and that the reason for their resignation is not clear to the management. Due to this fact, the production of mudguards (money-wise, the main product of San Giorgio) had to be stopped.
San Giorgio is a subsidiary of SKS Metaplast. The latter, according to the San Giorgio management, has the capacity to supply comparable products to all San Giorgio customers. So far the message. At San Giorgio, nobody was available for comment, and the spokesman of SKS is not entitled to communicate about the exact nature of the problems due to the fact that a court procedure is impending and any information from their side might be used by the opponent party.(OB)
