AMERSFOORT, Netherlands (October 13) – As recently announced, SRAM was working on finalising the deal to take over Truvativ. On the 5th of October, both parties have signed the definite agreement. The integration of Truvativ within the SRAM corporation will be gradual, beginning with customer service and ordering planned for June 2005, than MY06 product introduction will be streamlined together, and finally, for MY07 the product lines of both companies will be fully coordinated. The coming Taipei show will the platform to announce the specific changes. For both companies the joining of forces is a logical step: SRAM now has become a full-line supplier (albeit that parts for road bikes are still in the pipeline…) something the company set out to do in the first place, and Truvativ was at a crossroads, whether to make a complete drive train themselves. Now both goals are met in one fell swoop.
