OEDERAN, Germany (October 5) – The German Büchel plant in Oedran (at the former Grünert facility) is now also operative in producing Vuelta XRP wheel sets for the German market. Using two Holland Mechanics production streets (something quite extra ordinary for system wheels – usually they depend on manual production) the factory can produce around 400 XRP wheels per day. One in-house made adaptation: the lock-tite is added to the nipples after trueing, making later correction easier. The original HM machines first applied the lock-tite and then trued the wheel – making for an initially stronger bond – but making trueing by hand, afterwards, a tougher job. The newest item of the new plant is the Quattro X-wheel that arranges
groups with four spokes as a special design.(MH)
