NIEUWLEUSEN, Netherlands – As of July 1st , The Dutch Bicycle Group (DBG) will take over the sales activities for the Union bicycle brand from current owner Larcom. DBG also taken over the stock of parts and bicycles, creditors, inventory and means of production, and is planning to enlarge Union’s market share. DBG already had a good contact with Larcom, as part of their own range was produced there. DBG specializes In low to mid end bicycles that are sold to chain stores and mass markets. Whether the Union brand will be used for the same market is as yet unclear. The actual production company, Larcom Life Cycles International (LLCI) will remain the property of Larcom. Both companies have signed a contract to ensure the production of bicycles for DBG at the Larcom facility for at least 3 three years.
