WORKSOP, UK (Nov 25) – Working in a bike shop at age 83? Mrs Barbara Rattue does. In the shop opened by her husband nearly 80 years ago. In all those years the shop has never had any renovation done, so it is still in it’s original 1920’s state. Even down to the original till, which must have clocked up quite a few sales over the years! After her husband died in 1981, Mrs Rattue took over the daily running of the shop, but stopped the repair work. She now sells bike parts and toys to customers who just love the vintage shop interior. She hopes to continue working in her special bike shop for years to come, but if she decides to stop, wants the original interior to go to a museum. This might be good moment to have a chat with the old lady, if you happen to own a museum…(MH)
