TIANJIN, China (Feb 20) – More than 40,000 bicycles were burnt after a fire broke out at a bicycle factory Saturday afternoon in north China’s Tianjin There are no reports on casualties, according to local government.

The fire took place at the painting workshop of the Tianjin Kelihui Bicycle & Electric Vehicle Company and more than 10,000 square meters of workshop were also destroyed.

The city’s fire fighting department sent more than 30 fire engines to the site and the fire had been brought under control by 9:30 p.m. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
