Bajaj Bike Sales up 32% in FY06

MUMBAI, India – Bajaj Auto today reported a 32% increase in motorcycle sales at 19,12,224 units in FY06 when compared with 14,49,710 units sold in FY05.

According to an official release issued today, total two-wheeler sales moved up 26% to 20,27,856 units in FY06 from 16,04,745 units sold in FY05.

MUMBAI, India – Bajaj Auto today reported a 32% increase in motorcycle sales at 19,12,224 units in FY06 when compared with 14,49,710 units sold in FY05.

According to an official release issued today, total two-wheeler sales moved up 26% to 20,27,856 units in FY06 from 16,04,745 units sold in FY05.

Total two- and three-wheeler sales, including exports, during the fiscal ended March 31, 2006 increased 25% to 22,79,862 units when compared with 18,26,798 units in FY05, the release added.

The company clocked a 37% increase in bike sales in March at 1,83,927 units as against 1,34,707 units sold in March 2005. Total two-wheeler sales increased 30% to 1,87,696 units in March 2005 from 1,44,861 units in March 2005.
