MOLENDINAR, Australia – In Bike Europe’s e-Mail Newsletter dated Wednesday July 23, we reported that: “The Australian company (TTG) that local brand – Teschner-Leggera, has ceased trading and that it is unclear at this stage if the Teschner brand will be salvaged in some form.”

CEO Peter Teschner of Teschner Technologies (USA) Pty Ltd informed us that: “The statements published by you, are both false and misleading.” That prompted Bike Europe to ask for an official statement of Teschner Technologies (USA) Pty Ltd. Here’s that statement made by CEO Peter Teschner:

“As I have pointed out previously, Teschner Technologies Pty Ltd stopped operating as an entity when Paul Farrell (formerly one of its directors) was asked to leave the business. As I have also pointed out to you previously, Teschner carries on business through the company Teschner Technologies (USA) Pty Ltd. Of course our operations and reputation is synonymous with the name "TESCHNER".

Turning back to the defunct company and your comments in your latest email:

  1. the old company has paid all its normal trade and other creditors and
  2. we have received no notice of any legal action (other than the previous dispute with Mr Farrell) and have no reason to suspect that this will change.

As to staff movements, like any business in modern times staff departures occur reasonably frequently. However, I can say that Teschner has not lost any personnel considered critical to its operations and has certainly not experienced staff movement to abnormal levels as seems to be intimated in your last email. We are certainly well below industry benchmarks and we are proud to be an employer of choice in a dynamic area of the industry.”
