Deda Recalls Forze Handlebar Stems

CAMPAGNOLA CREMASCA, Italy – Deda Elementi has voluntary recalled the Forza Stems sold between January and June this year. This was announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Deda Elementi received four reports of cracking handlebar stems. Until now no injuries have been reported. In the US the stems were mounted on bikes with a retail price between US$ 4,300 and US$ 8,700. The handlebar stems were also sold separately for about US$ 400.

The recall involves the Deda Forza black carbon fiber handlebar stems in gloss finish. ‘Deda Forza’ is printed on the handlebar stem. Deda Forza black carbon fiber handlebar stems in matte finish are not included in this recall.

In total 400 stems have been sold, which were made in Taiwan and Italy.
