SRAM Re-launches Torpedo Brand

The brand name Torpedo was a nearly forgotten part of the SRAM inheritance. The legacy of this illustrious brand has been picked up by the Americans to introduce their latest product which fits perfectly in the single speed hype on the US market.

The new SRAM Torpedo is the first singlespeed hub with both an adjustable freewheel and fixed gear function. Seven turns of a screwdriver make the difference: fixed or free.

The first Torpedo-hubs came off the assembly line in the German city Schweinfurt in 1903. Today, SRAM claims over 100 million Torpedo-hubs are in use around the world. The new Torpedo single speed continues the tradition and is still made in Schweinfurt.
