DUARTE, USA – Despite five years of beneficial cooperation with Fisher Outdoor Leisure, Dahon has decided to look for a new UK distributor which the biggest in folding bikes found with Zyro.

“Zyro has a great team, a stable of complementary brands, and above all, an unerring focus on service,” stated Joshua Hon, Dahon vice president. “Service to our dealers is an area where we have needed to improve and we expect to make some big progress in this area beginning in 2010.”

“We are excited to have the opportunity to work with Dahon, which is recognized as a leader and innovator in the folding bike market,” stated Simon Ellison, Zyro director of product and purchasing. “Dahon complements our existing product range, while also adding a new dimension to Zyro’s range of products.

“We recognize that retailers need a different level of support for a folding bike range, and are gearing up for this challenge with enthusiasm”, stated Simon Ellison, Zyro director of product and purchasing. “We feel that we will be able to help the brand grow by using our skills in brand management, after sales service, not to mention our process control and inventory management.”

“Fisher has been a good partner and has done an excellent job of helping us grow the Dahon brand,” stated Joshua Hon, Dahon vice president. “But our companies are moving in different strategic directions. We wish Fisher the best and look forward to exciting changes in our distribution strategy.”

“Over the past few years, both of our companies have developed different strategic needs and are starting to move in different directions”, stated Richard Allmark, chief executive of Fisher Outdoor Leisure.

Fisher Outdoor Leisure will continue to act as distributor for Dahon through December 31, 2009.
