Philips Enters Bike Industry

At Eurobike 2009, multinational Philip made its first careful steps on the global bike market with the introduction of the Philips LED Bike Light. It has an 80 lux output, making it one of the brightest lights on the market.

From a distance up to 80 meters objects can be clearly detected. Philips LED Bike Light is available with two high power LEDs based on the Philips Luxeon. The same technology is also used in the LED headlamps by German automotive manufacturers.

The headlight features a City Eco mode operating at 20 lux. The Philips LED Bike Light can be easily mounted to the handlebar and loaded via an USB cable with the power adapter or on any computer. Also included are four high-performance Philips batteries with a capacity of 2450 mAh. The capacity of the battery is two to eight hours, depending on the operating mode of the lamp.
