SCHOENAU, Germany – The PedPower is Heinzmann’s new bracket electric motor concept which will be launched at Eurobike. The complete e-Drive system with sensors is hidden behind the chain guard. The new battery pack is nicely integrated in the luggage carrier.
The Heinzmann PedPower can be mounted with just a few screws, while the cabling is limited to the connection from the bracket motor to the battery allowing easing mounting by Heinzmann’s OEM customers. The low point of gravity makes the e-Bike pleasant to ride. The PedPower is available with and or without coaster brake.
Heinzmann’s second new product to be introduced at Eurobike is the DirectPower, a gearless and brushless hub motor. This model is available in a front and rear wheel version. When installed as a rear wheel hub motor all modern cassettes can be attached.
DirectPower provides a standard torque of 40 Nm, while the motor features the option of power recuperation. During braking and downhill unused kinetic energy will be converted into electrical energy and used to charge the battery.
Heinzmann’s Classic well-proven hub motor with gearbox will remain available. The entire system now features new controls, new batteries, new torque sensor while the motor power can also be manually operated.
