Suspension seat post specialist Kind Shock has developed the i7r for the small 27.2 seat tube bikes. With this introduction Kind Shock enlarges its market for suspension seatpost substantially. The 27.2 seatpost offers owners of earlier freeride, enduro, and cross country bikes the performance enhancement of on-the-fly position adjustment.

“One of the major obstacles in producing a hydraulic height adjust post in a 27.2 millimetre diameter is the space limitation for hydraulic fluid, valves, pistons, shafts etc, while maintaining proper wall thicknesses of the components to ensure performance safety and durability”, explains Rick Taylor of Kind Shock.

“The i7r makes this all possible by utilizing a patent pending external reservoir system. By housing the oil volume in this reservoir the shaft wall thickness (is) maintained at optimal specification while still offering ideal oil volume for flawless performance.”

The i7r still features the remote level which allows easy change of the seat height while keeping your hands on the handlebar as well as a separate seat angle and rail clamp mechanism for precise and independent adjustment of seat pitch and fore-aft adjustment. The i7r was rewarded with an Eurobike 2010 Award.
