Derby Cycle Positive in First Full-Year Forecast

CLOPPENBURG, Germany – Just six weeks after its IPO Derby Cycle AG has published its full-year forecast for the financial year 2010/11. Based on orders already received from IBDs Derby Cycle expects a full-year sales revenues of at least 200 million euro for the financial year ending September 30, 2011. That is an increase of 15.5 % related to the previous period.

Derby Cycle expects that its EBIT margin will improve by 7 to 8 %. In the financial year 2009/10 the EBIT swell by 7%. This reflects a growth of more than 15 % in terms of sales revenues, and an acceleration of the average growth dynamism that the company has reported over recent years.

“The main contributors to this growth forecast are demand for e-bikes and sports bikes as well as our advancing internationalisation” says Derby Cycle’s CEO Mathias Seidler. “The current forecast of the minimum sales revenue level includes a certain measure of caution regarding continuing macro-economic trends, which we regard as appropriate considering current events in Japan."
