GreenTrans launches its dual battery system and torque sensor at his year’s Eurobike. The Dual Saddle Battery (DSB) system increases the range of the bike and decreases the frequency of recharging the batteries.
The GreenTrans battery is designed like a saddle. As the rider puts the two batteries on the bike the controller of the GreenTrans e-bike drive system will detect the battery power directly. When the power of one battery is exhausted this control system will switch to the other battery automatically.
GreenTrans’ DSB system is specially suited for riders who need to cover long distances everyday for, for instance, commuting in urban areas; or for a pizza delivery application.
GreenTrans also developed a torque sensor integrated in the bottom bracket. Unlike most other torque sensors which are operated by a single side only, the GreenTrans system detects the torque at both pedals. It results in a better, real-time, response of the drive system.
GreenTrans drive systems for e-bikes have passed internal durability tests, and ready to be mass produced. GreenTrans currently is planning to expand its electric bike business with leading bicycle companies as well as high-end distributors all over the world.
