Chuan Wei Industrial, operating factories in Chang Hua, Taiwan and Kunshan, China, is showing a series of new Samox cranksets at this year’s Taipei Cycle. Among them are cranksets for downhill and freestyle bikes that have hollow alloy forged cranks.

MTB models are also available with hollow carbon crank arms. In Road race the latest cranksets are for 10-speed derailleurs. As with the types for off-road, they come with hollow alloy forged or carbon crank arms. For top-end bikes there is the choice of titanium spindles or regular chromo hollow ones.

Chuan Wei Industrial will also be presenting its ABS system for bikes called Safety Brake Control System. It controls both front and rear brakes. When braking is required it applies the rear brake 0.3 seconds earlier than the front brake. The ABS control unit is easy to install.
