NEURNBERG, Germany – Developed for the automobile industry to protect the paint on the boot and around the doors of a car, Foliatec could serve a need in the bicycle industry. Just like a car’s boot and doors, bicycles certainly have vulnerable parts when it comes to scratches.

The Foliatec portfolio includes an inexpensive protection film that will keep the paint as bright as it ever was.

Scratch-proof

According to manufacturer Böhm the protection film is absolutely scratch-proof and could maintain bicycle frames, like the chain stays and components in the condition as if it was new for several years. For use in cars, Böhm suggest to renew the film every two years.

The Foliatec is relatively inexpensive. A strip of 9.4 x 120 centimeter has a recommended retail price of Euro 14.95.
