European Tender for e-Bike Charging System

BRUSSELS, Belgium – Blue-Mobility, a subsidiary of the Belgian Railway Corporation NMBS Holding, has launched a public tender for the development of a universal charging system for electric bicycles. The system should be compatible with 80% of battery standards and it should be usable both in the private and public domain.

Blue-Mobility is a company developing innovative mobility solutions in combination with public transport. The company offers a bike sharing system called Blue-Bikes at train stations with which commuters can use to get to and from the stations. Blue-Bikes are also targeted to tourists and students. The company is continuously expanding the number of stations where the Blue-Bikes are available while it is also expanding its offering to electric bikes.
