Haibike Claims that Uphill is the New Downhill
FRIEDRICHSHAFEN. Germany – Yesterday, right after Eurobike 2013 opened its doors, Haibike (part of the German Winora Group) presented its impressive 2014 e-Performance line-up of 37 e-bikes and speed pedelecs.
Among the 37 models are 5 speed pedelecs capable of speeds up to 45 km/h; 10 full suspension e-bikes as well as five 29-ers. These Haibike XDuro e-MTB’s are being launched with the slogan ‘Uphill is the new Downhill’.
Next to XDuro there’s also XDuro Race and Superrace. These are electric road racers that even feature groupsets like Dura Ace as well as hi-class carbon frames. The most expensive new Haibike e-Performance models retail for up to 6,000 euro. With such e-bikes Haibike is targeting not the regular mountainbiker or road racer, but, “A target group that is looking for more fun and speed. We are convinced of the success of these bikes. Let the market decide in the coming year.”
