New Management Positions at Baltik Vairas and Bionx
AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands – Baltik Vairas appointed Michael Thurau as the new Chief Sales Officer and Peter Brolos Kristensen as new Chief Innovation Officer. E-bike drive train manufacturer BionX strengthened its sales and engineering team.
Baltik Vairas new Chief Sales Officer Michael Thurau served in the past two years as Country Manager for Germany at EnergySport, distributor of brands like Assos, Sidi, Kask, Rotor, SpeedPlay, 3T, Vredestein, Morgan Blue and High5. He is expected to increase the company’s value for the European customers substantially and further drive the sales of Baltik Vairas.
Backbone of Baltik Vairas management team
Peter Brolos Kristensen, is Baltik Vairas’ new Chief Innovation Officer. He is known in the bicycle industry as Country Manager at Bike & Co in Denmark and the CEO of bicycle manufacturer Mosquito Cykelcenter / Cykel-X-Perten. “With the latest appointments, we have formed the backbone of Baltik Vairas management team,” Baltik Vairas CEO Peter Ferlev Jensby said.
Year-on-year sales of Baltik Vairas surged in the second quarter which ended on 28 February from € 7.444 million to € 14.369 million. EBITDA grew from € 0.088 million to € 0.848 million. The company manufactured and sold 78,000 bicycles and e-bikes in the second quarter.
Canadian Bionx hired W. Tyler Meyers as Director of Global Sales. He brings a diverse background having worked directly with OEM’s, distributors and IBD’s. Tyler’s past accomplishments include having worked for Electra Bicycles, Hayes Bicycle Group, Shimano and Trek.
V-Bond Lee is the company’s new VP of Engineering. For Bionx he brings many years of experience launching new automotive and aerospace products. His past involvement in electric drive systems, structures and engineering project management is seen as a great match for the e-bike drive drain manufacturer.
