LITTLE ROCK, USA – Only a few months after Allied Cycle Works start was announced the company now reports that initial shipments to its first 30 dealers began last March. “We are building a network of next-generation IBDs that appreciate our domestically produced products,” said Tony Karklins, founder and Managing Director of HIA Velo, Allied’s parent company.

“Our message has resonated with both the domestic and international markets,” Karklins continues, “and we expect to close 2017 with 50 North American retail partners. Internationally, our initial focus has been on Canada and the Asian markets. Canada was a natural start for us, since the Guru factory acquisition last February. Podium Imports has been selected to represent Allied Cycle Works in Canada and will be authorizing Allied’s first 10 Canadian IBDs this spring.

Asia preferred over Europe

“With the rise of popularity in professional cycling in Asia we have chosen to focus initial distribution efforts there over Europe. Premium, American manufactured brands are highly desirable in Asia and our story has resonated very well.” The initial Asian distributors include Velogic in South Korea, T3 Bicycle Gears PTE LTD in Singapore and Yao Bike in Taiwan.
