LONDON, UK (July 1) – Halfords-owner Boots plc is talking with venture capitalist CVC Capital Partners to sell off its car and bicycle parts retail chain, according to a British newspaper. Earlier this year Boots put Halfords for sale at GBP 450 million (E 740 million). It appeared not clear if CVC would meet this amount, but Boots is to demerge Halfords anyway. A deal may be concluded within a month from now, insiders said. (FN)
