HERZOGENAURACH, Germany – After eight years Robert Louis-Dreyfus, CEO and chairman of the Executive Board at German-French Adidas-Salomon AG, will retire. He will leave the company on 8 March. Also stated in the press release after a Supervisory Board meeting was held in the Herzogenaurach headquarters on 30 January, Christian Tourres, currently deputy chairman of the Executive Board, will retire from this Board at the same time. A proposal is in the works for the shareholders’ meeting, in which Tourres will be recommended to be elected to the Supervisory Board. New strong man at Adidas-Salomon Group is Herbert Hainer; currently deputy chairman and COO will succeed veteran Louis-Dreyfus as CEO and chairman of the Executive Board effective 8 March. “Over the last years, Herbert Hainer has contributed in key areas to the extremely positive development of Adidas-Salomon. We are convinced that he will lead the company into the next era of success and growth”, stated Henri Filho, chairman of the German-French company’s Supervisory Board. In addition to these changes, the Supervisory Board appointed CFO Robin Stalker to the Executive Board of Adidas-Salomon effective 30 January.
Following the Supervisory Board’s meeting the composition of the Executive Board of Adidas-Salomon Group from March 8 will be as follows: Native German Herbert Hainer (CEO and chairman), American Glenn Bennett (Global Operations), German Manfred Ihle (Legal and Environmental Affairs), Swiss Michel Perraudin (Human Resources), New Zealander Robin Stalker (CFO) and German Erich Stamminger (Global Marketing). Adidas-Salomon Group is a supplier of cycling shoes and bikewear under the Adidas brand name and bicycle components under the Mavic brand name. (JB)
