WASHINGTON, US (October 13) – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Giant Bicycle Inc. ,today announced a voluntary recall. This recall concerns just 160 Rainier Mountain Bicycles, that might suffer from a possibility that the front brake mounting tabs might break.

The company has received six reports of the tabs breaking. No injuries have been reported. The recall involves only 2004 Rainier model mountain bikes with Marzocchi EXR Comp front forks. Model numbers included in the recall are 333502, 333503, 333504 and 333505.
