ETRA Meeting on e-Bike Type-Approval

GAND, Belgium – The European Two-Wheeler Retailers’ Association (ETRA) invites the electric bicycle sector to their information meeting on the new rules following the new type-approval legislation the European Union has decided on a few weeks ago.

This new European Union type-approval legislation will apply to a large number of e-bike models.

European Commission participates
A group of European Commission representatives will participate in the ETRA information meeting on the new rules. The meeting is aimed at technical and general management staff of any company active in the electric bicycle sector: electric bike manufacturers, battery and motor manufacturers, component manufacturers, importers, wholesalers as well as dealers.

Mr Guido Gielen en Mr Peter Broertjes, policy advisors at the European Commission’s DG Enterprise and Industry, Directorate Automotive Industry will answer all participants’ questions on the new type-approval and electric bicycles.
