WHISTLER, British Colombia US (February 3rd) - SRAM Corporation is now the official drivetrain supplier to Whistler Mountain Bike Park, arguably North America's preeminent mountain bike facility.
This year Whistler's 105 rental bikes will be spec'ed with SRAM drivetrains. The rental bikes take riders down more than 1 million vertical feet annually, according to park staff. Last year more than 62,000 riders rode in the park. SRAM will also outfit the 20 official guide bikes with X-Generation componentry.
SRAM will offer technical support for specific events as well as sponsor the "Phat Wednesday" weekly race series. Phat Wednesday is a weekly competition that includes a Chainless Downhill race along with other gravity events. Source: BRAIN
