NEW DELHI, India (February 26th) - The Indian CYMO bicycle show was staged last year after a five year interruption. This years' CYMO, scheduled for this month has been, as the organizer claims, postponed. "We are shifting it to October, right after the European Fall shows, says organizer Gautam Mehta of Modern Multi-Media Marketing Co (India) Pvt Ltd. Mehta is confident that he can attract sufficient exhibitors and trade visitors for his October schedule, in spite of the universal show tiredness most participants in Eurobike, Ifma, Eicma and Interbike are experiencing at the beginning of October. CYMO, which got in its last edition satisfactory interest from African and South American parties, eagerly wants the status of an international show with both exhibitors and buyers from the western markets. Mehta claims that enquiries from Europeans and Chinese are 'pouring in' - seven Chinese companies had already signed up for the March dates.(SH)
