AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (March 4) - The annual Dutch 'Bike of the Year' contest, the Sparta ION has won full awards. The bike is a successful combination of a very 'normal' looking bicycle with a cleverly designed electric pedal support system. Further awards were given to the Batavus Centennial, a very classy bike for their 100 year anniversary, the Koga Miyata FullPro Carbolite an ultra light road bike and the Giant NRS Composite 2 which earned it by merit of its suspension system.(MH)
