WARMOND, the Netherlands (17 March) - Dutch motorcycle importer Greenib has decided to stop importing Benelli motorcycles and scooters, due to low volumes and teething troubles with the new Tornado superbike. Greenib also says that Ariston holding (household appliances) who own Benelli have turned the Benelli Supersports activities on a low key after two rather disappointing race seasons. Another reason is that Greenib wants to invest in Hyosung. Greenib will keep its Moto Guzzi activities. This traditional Italian bike brand has a steady group of admirers in the Netherlands.(OB)
