MAARSSEN, Netherlands (April 7) -The numbers compiled by EU's customs data bureau Eurostat are rising steadily: a record (for the time being….) of 1.4 million units more were imported into the EU last year: a 12% rise when compared to 2002. And when we look back to 2000, we see that the counter stopped at a trifle above the 10 million mark. Now, just three years later, we have reached the 13 million units barrier. Imports of front forks are more stable with 6.5% growth in 2003 to a total of just under 11 million units. The big winner is Vietnam, which exported 87.2% more frame in the European Union.
