AMERSFOORT, Netherlands (July 21) - SRAM have announced that they have now finalized their distribution channels for the German market. SRAM, ROCKSHOX, and AVID products will be sold and serviced in Germany by Hermann Hartje KG and Sport Import. “We expect both companies to be fully operational with the products, service and supply prior to September 1st. After reviewing several options for Germany we felt that both Sport Import and Hartje had a good compliment of business attributes that would continue to develop the German Market further with SRAM, their strengths in logistics, service, sales and communication to the retailers will continue to add to our momentum in Germany”, states Robert Priest, SRAM Global Aftermarket Manager. Although a select number of products will continue to be available via wholesales ZEG & Wiener Bike parts, Hartje and Sport Import will be the focal point for SRAM in terms of its marketing, sales, service and warranty; they will also be the only ones in this market to carry the full Aftermarket product range of SRAM (products and brands.) “With this latest round of distributor announcements in Germany, I am happy to say that we have reached the final stage of SRAM’s aftermarket restructuring program for Europe. The program started 16 months ago, which at its height involved around 90 companies of varying size. Its been a mammoth task for all involved and I’m pleased to say that despite the obvious challenges in making such changes, the majority of the businesses have remained professional in their approach, which is credit to the type of people in the industry”, explains Robert Priest.
